Tissot, founded in 1853 by the father and son duo, Charles-Felicien Tissot and Charles-Emile Tissot is a member of the Swatch Group, the world’s largest watch producer and distributor. Offering a wide range of high-class timepieces at a price more affordable than any other Swiss watch brand, Tissot has pioneered an impressive number of advancements in watchmaking history, which includes the first mass-produced pocket watch, the first dual time-zone pocket watch, and the first plastic watch, among others.
The Tissot Chemin des Tourelles Helvetic Pride Special Edition pays tribute to the brand's Swiss heritage. The caseback resembles a Swiss franc coin and depicts Helvetia, the female national personification of Switzerland, standing proudly and surrounded by 23 stars representing the states of the Swiss Confederation. The dial also pays tribute to Switzerland, with the men's version decorated with the Swiss cross pattern and the ladies' version subtly embellished with mother-of-pearl.
