About the Brand
As the grandson of Guiseppe Rossi, the great 19th-century Florentine impressionist painter, Roberto Cavalli was destined to be a great artist. As a student at the Florence Art Academy in the early 1960s, Cavalli’s skills in textile printing were already garnering him attention in fashion when he caught the eye of major Italian hosiery factories—his skill and innovation in textile printing would bring him to the forefront of the fashion world.
